Rather go Rejex. Much easier to apply and man, nothing sticks to it. Can be applied to glass, etc..
You must never have actually used Zaino... It is very easy to apply - I can do my C6 in 45 minutes or so start to finish - and can be applied to glass as well. The one BIG advantage is you don't have that annoying 12-14 hour curing time with Zaino. Apply it, wipe it off and drive away...
I'm about to apply my first treatment of Zaino tonight. I know how great is is on the paint and chrome wheels.
My question is, can it be used on the windshield and or the glass roof panel? Any info from you Zaino veterans would be greatly appreciated.
I wouldn't use Zaino on your glass. If you plan on using your car as a daily driver and will occasionally use your windshield wipers, Zaino, RainX etc. will cause your wipers to chatter across the windshield. If you never plan on driving in the rain, it should be OK.
My new 07 LMB coupe is a week old. When should I consider doing a first application of polish and/or wax?
Should you wait a while to wash or do anything to the paint?
Thanks,
Steve
By the time your car has reached you, the paint has cured and it should be OK to put Zaino on your car. I would use a clay bar on the car first, and then apply the wax. The treatment that comes from the factory on the car isn't perfect and needs to be taken off. If your car was on the dealer's lot and sitting outside, I'd definitely clay it.

Did my 1st application of Zaino on my brand new coupe. I did the clay bar, and must have been pretty lucky on the transit because there was next to nothing on the clay bar (using "Moderate" pressure). Am glad I did it though, just to be sure to not be rubbing around or leaving crap on the paint. Did 1 coat of Z2 (W/ZFX catalyst), and then waited a few hours and did a second coat. Total usage about 1oz (I think). Looks good.
Go lite on the application!!!!!!!!!!!!! I used a one ounce mix and got three coats. A dime size drop whould do the entire hood. So far I have 6 coats and have used two oz of product. That's 3 wait a day and did the other three (with zfx).
I use almost an ounce on the whole car and wait about 30 mins before buffing off. It is almost too easy!
After reading all the glowing reviews from the 'Zainoites' I just ordered their complete kit. Living in Arizona the high heat, relentless sunshine and the dirt road I live on really takes its toll on the paint. If Zaino is half as good as everyone says....I should be quite happy.
You might as Sal, or search the internet. I did, and found that there's a local (to me) distributor in LA (www.lazaino.com). He allowed me pick it up directly.....really nice guy. Talked about proper technique and products for awhile. You may have a local distributor near you.
Finally have some time this weekend. I took everything down last weekend (protected with temporary coat of Z6), and really excited to bring it up with Z5, Z2, and CS. My goal: Be shinier than Humanoid's car.
Just got a new 07 coupe and a first timer with Zaino. Bought the Triplets kit. Did the whole dawn thing, claybar, then AIO, 2 coats of CS, the Z8. I have no experience with Z2 or Z5 Pro but i can tell you the Triplets kit was real easy to apply, take off, and finish. Pretty happy with Zaino so far.

Bad news pennman. You should wash your car again and apply a couple of coats of Z5P, followed by a couple of coats of Z2P, then do ZCS and Z8. You are lacking some serious protection right now.

That is so totally untrue, especially for a practically brand new 07 that probably has minimal swirls. It's amazing what people will say in here! Sal himself will tell you that many, many people ONLY use AIO, CS, and Z6/8 with amazingly complete and close-to-perfect results. That's why AIO was created, so you don't have to go through the Z5 and Z2 process. Yeah, maybe you get slightly better results with more products, but "lacking serious protection?" I hope you were kidding.
Yea IAIA, I agree with you. The Z5 even says on the bottle that it is for minor paint problems and swirls. My car was built 3 weeks ago! I've got 320 miles on it. The AIO will take care of any problems and the CS is exactly what it says...a sealer. Plus the Z8 gives the paint a very slippery finish as well. To each his own I guess but I really like the Zaino products so far. The Zaino web site gives all the info about the products so read carefully, you'll be amazed no matter what you use!
