So, I'm using my PC on Black and I am getting little c shaped scratches in the clear - It has to be buffing marks. I was trying to remove some other scratches when this happened.
This was with a yellow pad and Fine cut Cleaner.
What did I do wrone and should I be using something else?
The yellow pad might be a little too agressive. The "c" scratches is the movement of the pad...I believe indicates when the compound is drying out and the machine being moved too fast across the surface.
JU
yellow is super abrasive, move to orange and a bit more bite (harshier) polish and it should remove those marks. I never go past orange personally, and allow the polishes to do the work. Remember polishes come in different abrasive qualities too. On black, Menzerna SIP and Nano are all that is needed for a super finish.
Orange and white pads should be the only pads you ever need.
Try orange and either MIP or SIP, then a finer polish.
I recently did orange/MIP, orange/ZPC, and white/ZPC =
I will buy SIP when my MIP runs out.
