So I just received my c7carbon side skirts and wanted to what ceramic coating to use? Thanks
I'm guessing they have clear coat on them and, if so, lotsa good choices out there.
Some of my favorites that are easy to use that I have used are Kamikaze Miyabi, Cquartz UK 3.0...likely 90% of the major brand coatings out there will satisfy 100% of 90% of folks needs...it's that 'extra 10%' that sets some coatings apart in my experience. Something easy to apply that you can quickly apply every 6 months or so is Gyeon CanCoat.
A coating will help keep things a touch cleaner on something like side skirts and will make them easier to clean up as well but won't prevent any marring or scratching; for that, PPF is the answer if that is a big concern.
If you use judiciously, 10ml might be good enough to get 'em done and you can pick up 10ml of Cquartz UK 3.0 for $20 at Sky's the Limit Car Care (CarpPro USA distributor)
Hi everyone, I just took delivery of a '19 Stingray with 6500 miles. For the last few years I've been using Mequire's Ultimate Waterless Wash&Wax and am happy with the results. I recently purchased a few bottles of NexGen ceramic spray. My question is do I use the Mequire's first then the ceramic spray, or the other way around?

Thanks for any advice.
If I'm not mistake, the NexGen product is marketed as an SiO2 paint sealant. And while I have had absolutely ZERO first hand experience with it, if it is indeed a proper sealant, it should be applied to bare clear coat and then the megs would be used as detail spray/waterless wash which contains some synthetic wax (which should play well with the SiO2) to maintain the NexGen.
Good luck and please let me know if I can help you further!
