Yeah but how long would that take? Plus its going to probably be very $$$$ and is it going to have a strong axel or a joke broke thing weaker than the dana 36. Also is their going to be any for purchase in large quantities b/c a lot of corvette owners are going to be going after this. :yesnod:

dam 8.50's on a base unit. Thats beyond great for me. I just did'nt what no junky tiny axel for it. How many are you planning on selling or producing? If its less than or 3 grand I'll take it. And this is totally bolt it? If it is then do the links bolt into the stock location?

Yes, it's a total bolt in.......... Sorry but until the final design/assembly has been approved, we cant in all honestly give you the final number.

Part of the issue regarding final pricing will be on our own purchasing power after production begins, but as the laws of supply and demand go, the more we buy the better our pricing to the consumer in the final product. From what I've been seeing with in everyones enthusiam regarding this assembly, I think you'll be happy with the final sale price.

Plus you'll only be doing it once ......... Thats will save you in the long run.

Hi everyone, to answer some of the questions you have posted.....
This will be a complete "bolt in system", the hardest part will be finding a place to store your original IRS. Here's a short list of things to come out of it.

Hal fully adjustable Shocks.
Coil springs.
True fully adjustable 4 link.
Adjustable panard bar.
Utilises your original brakes with all ABS and E-brake functions.
Eaton Posi with choice of spring pressure or full spool.
Choice of gears up 5.89 ratio.
Hi Perf axles with stock or longer studs.
Original track width maintained and available for both wheel offsets.
Transmission X-member, available for TH350/Glide/400/700R4/4L60E/2004R
Aluminum driveshaft respective to trans choice.
C-Clip eliminator kit.
Strengthend cover.
Pinion angle locating plate, so not to remove the driveshaft to set angles.

As Mackey outlined previously in this post, pricing will be competative but will not be announced untill the final product has been completed for mass production. Expect this to happen in December and full production by January.

What king of tire can we stuff into it like what would be the largest size of Tire we could put into the corvette. Also would the distance between the chasiss and the axel be increased so you could put a bigger tire in it? Also how wide of a tire? Please specs in inches no crazy 30rz10 number.

Tire sizes and wheel offesets will remain unchanged, whatever works on your car now will work the same later, in today's market of numerous HP wheels, you can get whatever you like and or what suit's your needs.

The purpose of retaining the original geometry was with the street and strip car owner in mind, this way we can produce an item that will not force the customer into a myriad of additional expenses for custom items. If the sole purpose of the vehicle will be for track use only, then we can construct a unit to the specs required to suit the individuals needs.

Is it possible to have say 25 or 26 inch street tires on the street and then when your at the track swap them for 28 or 29inch drag radials and drop the axel to sit farther away from the chasiss to allow that tall of a tire to fit into it? Maybe change the springs or shocks? Or some how adjust the links? Also what about the width of the tire, how fat can the meats be out back so they dont rub the inner fender and all the other parts?

I run 315x35x17 (26") BFG drag radials on 11" wheels on the street and my race set up is either 325x50x15 or 28x13.5x15 ET streets (both are 28") for the track. all 3 can be run with no alterations to chassis or ride heights. The same will be true for the solid axle.
However a 29" or 30" tire may require some outter wheel opening modifications.

Sorry, I completely forgot to mention the standards ...... The answer is yes, we will have a full line of crossmembers for stock, swap and aftermarket standard transmissions. Actually, we will also be offering complete swap kits for nearly any unit you may be interested in also. All trans kits will come complete and fully inclusive of hardware for a complete installation wthout the need of chasing parts, IE: Soup to Nuts ..... They will come in two flavors ....

Kit "A" Trans, crossmember, clutch of your choice, Pedal assemblies/cable or hydraulic master and slaves, Driveshaft, all hardware.

Kit "B" Crossmember, Pedal assemblies/cable or hydraulic master and slaves, Driveshaft, all hardware.

Each kit will be fully comprehensive to suit your needs and complete to the last nut and bolt using "Rockwell Standard" quality fasteners.

Thats just a one page website. Since this is such a good deal I just have to ask you are you really doing this or is this just one big lie for a direct bolt-in-kit to a solid axel?(no offense) Because its just that you and Mackey are the ones suppling the info on the Direct bolt in Kit and I think you only mentioned the company name untill I asked you to. Please dont come back and bring a Heated thread, I'm just asking not offending. And what engine and how much power did it take to get that Corvette to run 8.5's in the quarter on the base kit? It all seems a bit odd.

YOU'VE GOT A FUNNY WAY OF ASKING A QUESTION WITHOUT EXPECTING A HEATED THREAD IN RETURN.

THE WAY I READ IT YOUR CALLING BOTH FRANK AND ME A LIER.

OR DID I MISREAD SOMETHING???????

1ST, THE PROTOTYPE IS GOING IN MY CAR.
WHO BETTER TO TEST IT?????

2ND, NOWHERE DOES IT SAY THAT IT WAS A CORVETTE THAT RAN 8.5 ONLY THAT THE AXLE SETUP HAS GONE THAT FAST TO ANSWER ANY QUESTION ABOUT IT'S DURABILITY AND STRENGTH.

3RD, I ASKED FRANK NOT TO MENTION HIS BUSINESS NAME ON THE FORUM UNTILL HE WORKSOUT THE DETAILS TO BECOME A SUPPORTING SPONSOR HERE ON THE FORUM.
I OWE THAT TO TROY AND THE OTHER SPONSORS HERE ON THE FORUM. IT'S JUST GOOD BUSINESS, IN DON'T WANT TO ANYTHING THAT WOULD BE CONSIDER OUT OF PLACE.

THANKS FOR YOUR KIND THOUGHT AND FOR YOUR INTEREST, I HOPE NOW YOU UNDRESTAND WHY WE DID WHAT WE DID.

I ONLY WISH YOU HAD ASKED ME FOR THIS INFO BY E-MAIL OR IM AND WOULD HAVE THIS OFF THE FORUM WHERE IT DOESN'T BELONGS.

THANKS AGAIN,

JOHN

RPM Frank said this quote. Maybe I understood it wrong but I thought it said that on letter C the base unit has been proven to run 8.5's. Sorry for all that I did not know that you asked him to not talk about the company name. Anyway when it is a direct bolt in kit how wide of a tire can be put into it? Also If the crossmember for the tranny runs from under both the tunnels that are side by side next to the tranny, would their be any ground clearence problems like hitting a speed bump?
