Thank you John, I feel it best that "I" personally do not post any further on this issue till were done with your car and I am a full sponsor on this site.
I thank everyone for thier enthusiasm for this product, I have saved all the email adresses of the people that have shown interst and we be contacting you all very soon when we are ready for full production.
Thanks RPM Frank for making and producing this kit. I just cant wait to order one, I'm just too afraid of doing anything to my corvette becaus eof that weak IRS rear suspension. :yesnod:
Hey great work RPM Frank, could ask one more question, What price range will the Solid Axel conversion be in $1g-2g, or 2g-3g's. Do you think you'll have them available by the the end of this year? Or is that just way too early because of all the legal paper stuff?
Funny you should mention legal stuff, it always gos back to that.... I hate lawyers.
Fitment is step one, step two will be Mackey taking his life into his own hands when he runs the car in December.
Production is still posted for January but we have saved all the names and contacts for those who have asked and expressed interest so far, these people including yourself will be given head o the line status when full production begins.
P.S. notice I'm still skirting price....... there's a reason for that, please bear with us.
RPM Frank thanks for all the time and info you have shared with us Corvette Dragster fanatics (or the ones that are ticked off from their IRS breaking so much). DO you have any stats on how much this entire setup weighs compared to the IRS. I think the Solid axel setup that you will have out for January should be lighter than the iRS would'nt? I mean the IRS has a buch of links, a heavy diff, beam, spindles and all that other junk, also will you offer them in colors :yesnod: :yesnod: ?
As far as wieght goes, we may see as much as a 40LB reduction, the final figure is yet to be determined.
Reagarding colors, I think it was Henry Ford who said it best "They can have it in any color they want, as long as it's black"
Actually the units will come sprayed in GM polymer chassis paint, amazingly durable stuff and it can be painted over with minor prep and lack of primer.

You have really made a work of art, I just cant wait to order one. Hey less weight the better. Before I was going to do this myself and transfer the IRS to a solid axel myself using the info I got from this form and some other sources. But hey its all bolt in now thanks to you. Also can a 4L80E fit inot a C4 with your kit?
The 4L80E will bolt right up to the motor, I really dont know about it fitting the trans tunnel though.
The reason why we never tested a 4l80E for fitment is because it robs so much HP to run it. At least 65 ponies as per GM.
We also offer 4L60E's that will handle as much as 850 HP in rull race trim, currently our street and strip units can handle 600 HP at 900 full passes and still counting, Just check with Impala Joe on this site, he has the record for the most runs on our products.
Also check with Mackey, Dennis, Ellis and a bunch of others that all use my units.
