Does anyone have any pics of a C4 Corvette with a Solid straight axel installed in it with Drag tires maybe 29 or 31inches? I want to convert My 1984 Corvette to a drag vette using drag slicks and a straight axel and everything else. Could you guy's help me out
I second John's  on Wheelsup rear end! It is very very nice! Ultra sweet!
One of the Vette Doctor's customer just had it done on a ZR1 and it is supposed to be very nice also. I do not believe they did the work but I am sure if you called them they would get you in touch with the shop that did it.
John and Bill, thanks for the kudos on the 4-link suspension. More and more guys are starting to look at this option. The car goes straight as an arrow. :yesnod:
This pic was taken soon after installed, but has since been painted.
It has a best 60' of 1.47 with a 350 small block. This may be my last season with this engine combo. This tires are 28",but plan on running a bigger tire.

Thanks for all the info Wheelsup. Do you have any pics of the exterior of the car, the way the tire fits in the wheel well. Also could you tell me what kind of axel you got in thier and where is a good place to buy one. Plus where all the pieces hand fabricated or was this some sort of kit like the Links? :chevy
I will try to get another pic of wheels/tires. The rear is mostly fabricated all but the Ford housing, axles, center section axles flanges, coilovers and brakes. There is no kit available to my knowledge.

Heu wheelslup, What parts did you have to remove in order to make the axel fit and function. Also did you have to take out the two compartments that hold the tire jack and the extra which are located behind the seats?
How do you take out the rear compartments? Plus when you take them out what did you use to cover up the hole. Also where does you exhaust come out from? :flag
Do your Drag Links for the axels fit in the stock location? If not where did you put them? Plus not to be to rude could you please post some pics on how the tire looks like in the wheel well? From outside :flag
Thanks Phill you really help me gain some knowledge on putting a sold axel on my Corvette. I still have one other question, since you do not have an IRS set up and now have an axel that moves up and down, How do you support the tranny since the beam is supported by the Diff which is not there. Or did you just make a custom beam that runs from the tranny to a bracket connected to the chasiss?
Where did you get the axel from and what model is it. Would it be difficult to weld in and fab the new parts and make it work. Also how do you support your tranny?
