OK...I just got home... ..I raced the evening event also...as for the burn out all I was doing was following instructions...everyone said "you really need to heat those Nitto DR's up"...I may have gone a tad bit overboard... ...I pulled up to the line after that burn out and and I couldn't stage...heck, I couldn't even see the tree... ...the smoke kept coming and got in the car and I started coughing and waving my arms...the starter would have thought this was funny but he couldn't breathe either and vacated the premisis...I must admit when my eyes stopped tearing and my throat opened back up I did have a chuckle about it... I decided later on that this was as good a way as any to see if the new posi unit was working...it was..
p.s. my 60' on this run was .04 slower than my previous run...

Dan,
You didn't spin them for that long. For some reason, those tires started billowing clouds of smoke after only 2 seconds of spinning.
That was a cool burnout though!

That's only because my car makes so much power my tires spin at the speed of light so it doesn't take long...

I'm buying stock in NITTO.....
Wonderful thing about having a Cross-Fire; you don't NEED a burn-out!
It'll hook in an Alaskan car-wash in January, with all that 'power'...

I wouldn't buy any stock just yet... ...I purposely did a few extra long burnouts yesterday in my search to find a few answers...since I've put the DR's on my 60' times are absolutely no better (if not worse) than with the street tires they replaced...could be my motor is just too tired to take advantage of them...I'll figure it out...
