Default Anyone running a Comp XE-294?

I was concidering a solid cam,but now am leaning back towards a hydraulic Comp XE-294. With my heads and cast 9000 crank I'm rpm limited to mid 6000 anyway,so I figure why lash a mechanical cam if a hydraulic can do the job.Comp XE-294 puts 250/256 degrees @.050 and with my 1.60 rockers will lift .554/.558 at the valves.Anyone run one and if so what's your opinion?Current cam was the XE-284,and I'm looking to bleed off some low end torque so I can hook at the launch, and make more topend power with the Vic Jr intake.

That cam will easily run to 7000-I'd go solid for sure:The crank should take it (Scat 9000?) What kind of heads?
i used to run the XE284 also-Good cam: At the size you want, you'll get more from that solid..just my .02

I would go with a solid as well, its really not that much work, plus the gains are bigger. I just put a 284 in my 468, I haven't put the inner springs back in it yet and ran it hard, but I wished I would have gone solid...next year I guess...
