Here is the link on how to do it. http://www.eecis.udel.edu/~davis/gm-.../ecm_swap_730/

I can help you with some vette spefific things. You will need a MAP sensor, a 1227730 ECM with connectors (mine is from a Beretta) and a V8 memcal, software such as tunercat, a pocket programmer and a UV erasor. You could remove the 27C256 chip from the memcal and solder in a 29C256 flash prom. With the flash prom there is no need for the UV erasor. You just reprogram it. This is what I do and I love it.

If your serious contact me off the list. I did not do the adapter harness as outlined on Mike's site. I just did a direct repin to the 730 connectors. This is easier IMO and more permanent.

Huh? When you repinned for the 730, you should have ended up with 3 connectors that plug into the 730. The old ECM would have had only 2 connectors. Something is definitely wrong. When you got done repinning, how many main connectors were you left with and which ones can you plug into the old computer and actually get a reading with? -Matt-
