Thanks for all the replys guys. It's refreshing to see that the "experts" here actually have cars that run good numbers. I think I am going to get the Hydra-Rev kit. I found an install page on the net last night and it's a no-brainer so i'm going to go ahead with it. If anyone else is in the market for one I have found that AFR itself has the best price($229) for the kit.
Re: AFR Hydra Rev Kit: Anyone using it? (7xchampcar3)
I'm running it on my latest motor. With my triple valvesprings and the relatively low revs I turn (~6500), I don't really need it. I don't expect it to add any power, but it's great missed shift/rocker backed off/broken pushrod, etc. insurance. My prior stroker (similar cam, etc) ran fine without it.
You can install it w/ the heads on, you just need to order the little spring compressor from AFR.

Little spring compressor?
LOL...Thats what I needed :jester
I installed my rev kit by simply squeezing the heck out of my springs by hand...and using a long big screwdriver for leverage. Glad I didn't put my eyes out or something
