4L80-E Tranny Mods
Have a 4L80-E tranny that has the tail end for a 4 x 4 transfer case, and I somehow want to get this in the '81.
Wondering if there is any way to connect a drive shaft to the output of a 4x4 tranny without using the tailshaft?

For most automatics, you need to change the output shaft from the one used for the transfer case to the one made for a slip-yoke (which requires disassembly of the entire transmission), and then bolt on the appropriate tailshaft housing.
