Default Unhappy with dyno

Took my car to a dynojet dyno in town. Can't say im pleased. Max RWHP was 227 and 318.5 RWTQ at around 170*. I wanted around 300 RWHP. Gotta get a super ram and new exhaust, a new cam wouldn't be bad

BTW, what are the specs on the LT1/4 hotcam everyone is talking about?
I was talking to another member here, and this is the cam he said would get me aound 450 FWHP with a SR, headers, 3" exhaust, and the Edelbrock heads on a ZZ4 short block which I have:

Hyd Roller, .050" lift Int. 230ş, Exh. 236ş, Intake CL 113 lobe seperation 115, Int opens 2şBTDC, closes 48şABDC, Exh open 55ş BBDC, closes 1ş ATDC. Both Intake and Exh lobe lift is .350". Springs at 125PSI closed 290 Open. I use Harland Sharp 1.6 roller rockers.

Is my best bet for more HP opening up the intake and exhaust? I want a new cam like the one above around when im going to college, 2 years.

My question to you would be.

How does she run ??

Don't let the dyno get ya down. Go out and stomp the gas a few times. It's not all about the paper results. If it puts a :D on your face when ya stomp it, that's the only result you need to be concerned with.

She needs a tune up, but I doubt the dealer would do it right cause of the mods. I want a chip burnt for it, but don't know of anyone who can make one for my car. Sure I could tell people what I've done, but I would like that person to be in contact with my car.

Off the line, I love her. Those 318.5 lb fts are real nice. Can't say the same on the highway. Sure she will move, but I want to be pushed back into the seat and spin the tires at WOT at 60 mph

The dyno dude said I had some detonantion when I let off. I have also felt on the highway a slight choke. This happens about every 5 minutes and it's like she is falling on her face for less than a second. Anyone know why?

The first cam that you mentioned would be a better match for the mini ram.

The one on the spec card, can make more power than your making now with bigger runners, intake opened up some with the normal prep to the plenum, and some headers.

If your goal is 450 hp, your gonna have to go with the super ram or the mini ram. Super ram if you have an automatic, and mini ram if its a manuel tranny.

I thought that too tnt, but don't know what the limits are. Don't wanna screw up this engine after the frist threw a rod. I would rather have someone AT my car tune it, not someone a thousand miles away. If I have the $$$ for on of them tuners and knew the limit, I would try it.
