Latest update: hidden costs! $339 per each Ultra seat $140 slide mounting kit. $35 shipping So all of the sudden you end up with $1300 for two seats and 3 inch quick release five point belts. :)

FYI on seats! The seats that do not adjust (tilt ) or have real high lumbar or side support almost make it impossible to get out. OK for race only but not for the street. Tried this already.

Some of the performace seats are too wide at the shoulder support area (hit the door panel).

I went with an OMP street/race seat that has a cut out for the crotch belt. Just narrow enough (just rubs the door panel) and also narrow enough to fit between door and trans tunnel. Just means exactly that, Just!

The seat will sit about 1/2 higher than stock and if you are over 5'10" you will proably have fit issues. The stock seats have dimples in them to allow them to site further back. Without these dimples the seat hits the section where the rear control arm mounts. This means the seat sits about 1 inch further forward and will not go all the way back. Using the seat recline mechanism does help some.

Do not buy a seat unless you have put it in the car and tried the fit and too see how hard it is to get in and out. I was lucky that there is a racing shop in Ft Worth that has some seats in stock and they let me try them.

I run the stcok vette seats for daily used most of the time, but swap the OMP seats between the vette and my 350 cheavy powered IH Scout.

I used the HA/652 REC. It is at http://www.ompracing.it/homeen

I used the Sparco seat adjustment mounts (FIA approved with dual locks) Sparco has a similar seat with out the holoe for a crotch belt, but could be made for one probably

I've used both the Sparco Pro2000 and the Sparco Ultra.
The Pro is a much more confortable seat, and slightly roomier and 2 lbs heavier.
Remember, for the passenger side: women have hips, even if they aren't big & tall.

On the OMP seat the tilt adjust is done by rotating an adjustment ****. There is one on each side, but there are low down and not that easy to adjust. This is not a quick release so it must be rotated to tlit the seat for access to the rear.

Sparco has one with quick tilt releases on the side, but not 5 point and heavy

Dave I have looked over the measurements and the ultra seat is actually smaller in the mid section than your model. I ordered the Spearco's friday and I hope that they come in today or tomorrow. I really should have had them before I took the car to the cage shop.

I opted for non reclining on advice from Redvetteracr. I just hope that the seat pan and adjustable tract aren't a big problem.
