Default Fuel system questions

I have a few questions about the fuel system I'm going to need for my 454. I'm sure they've been brought up before, but the Forum search function sucks.

My 454 will hopefully make somewhere around 550HP, I'd like the system to be ready for up to 600HP.
According to the HPx.23 and HPx.17 calculations, I need a fuel pump between 138 and 102 GPH. A Holley 140GPH blue should be plenty right?
I'd like to use a return style regulator, so I'm going to need a return line. I'm not entirely sure what lines I have on my vette right now, but I'm guessing 5/16" and 3/8" I'll need at least -8 1/2" fuel line will I not? Is it possible to run new fuel line with the body on the car? I know you can't run brake lines, so I'm kinda concerned. I could use the existing 3/8" line for the return line.

I also plan to run a 100-150 shot of nitrous. I know it's ideal to run a separate fuel pump for the Nitrous system, but, should I? If I was running a 140gph pump with a return regulator for the carb and a return reg for the nitrous, would I be ok? Obviously fuel pressure guages for both, and a fuel pressure safety switch on the nitrous is key.

I think that's all. Thanks! :)

If you want to prepare it for 600 hp you will need 1/2 line. The Holley Blue pump will run it though not as reliable as a mechanical pump from Clay Smith Cams or the Holley Race pump.I do not see a need for a return line.
As far as a source to puchase the new line? I don't know but I believe Monty or 427 HotRod could tell you.
Keep in mind that the pick up in the tank is still 3/8 and will need modded also.

I hope this helps your Sir! :)

Man I'm in a good mood this morning.Somethings bound to happen!
