I have a vibration at between 3,000-3,800 rpm. It does not matter what gear I'm in or speed, it is related to rpm. I'm leanning toward a clutch system problem......
Yes I do. Does your engine vibrate only in gear or also when in neutral at that rpm? If only in gear, look to your drivetrain. If also in neutral, then get a fluidamper and see if that helps. Could be a bit out of balance.
If it points to your driveline, it could be something simple like driveshaft wobble. You could have your driveshaft balance checked at a driveshaft shop. Also check all U-joints to make sure you don't have a wearing one that "clunks" on you. That's a start.
Check that and post back here on the results, and we'll go from there.
MoMo He says it vibrates between 3000 and 3800 regardless of what gear he is in. If it is a driveline problem would it still show up say in 1st
at 3-38 then again in 2nd etc. Wouldn't a drive line problem just show up at certain speeds and nothing to do with engine rpm?
 I have narrowed it down to the motor. Just revving the engine at a stand still causes a vibration. I tried another harmonic balancer, -NO HELP-...... I think I'm going to go at the clutch, pressure plate, throw-out bearing and the heavy dual mass fly wheel. I've been wanting to replace these items anyway. I want to replace the dual mass fly wheel with a single mass. This will save around 23-27 lbs. of rotating mass. My feeling is that the dual mass fly wheel is where my vibs are originating.
