hmm.. yeah, best answer is probably "no." But most operate under the 24-hour rule, meaning if you use a peer-to-peer file swapper (go to yahoo and search... then pick one) and manage to grab it - or something else you should have paid for - you can 'test drive' it for 24 hours and then delete it. You can get pretty much anything you want for free now-a-days, it's just whether or not you feel inclined to pay omage to the programmers. The flip side is, should you acquire an illegal copy, is it worth the Man's time to track down all the small fries (you) or go for the illegal distributors (napster clones)? Probably not.

Comes down to your concience and paranoia.

But for $40 you get a cool manual and a library of popular hardware specs; and more than that in R&D costs :yesnod:
