Will this combo work?
I've got an 03 Z06. Last year, I blew the motor in it, and I've had a heckuva time finding another 01-04 5.7L block. I track the car occasionally and want to end up somewhere in the 500+ HP range. I've got a new pair of AFR 215cc cathedral port heads, which require at least a 3.9" bore, so a 5.3 won't work. Would I be able to use a Gen IV 6.0L aluminum block with these heads, and the 24x reluctor crank that came out of the 5.7? I'm thinking this would allow me to retain the factory ECU.
Just wondering if this would work, and if so, what hurdles will I need to jump along the way?
