Help building 350
Info
The car is a convertible 4 speed manual. All parts are stock.
I am going to rebuild the Power steering control valve (leaks) and repalce brake pads and install steel braided lines. I am also installing the VB&P grand touring plus suspension kit.
Do you guys have any idea as to what to build the 350 with.
I plan on boring over 30 and need it to still be streetable and have enough vac.
I was thinking about the Performer RPM Alum heads 70cc ( have a good price on a new set $700)
As I said this will be for autocrossing and the occasional date night with the wife.
Thanks for any help
Tony
I have DD2000 so I will be able to compare any setups you guys suggest.
I would suggest AFR 210 Heads. They should breath enough to get you the HP you need on the track but still be street worthly (I think).
For cam, I would see what Comp Cam 288HR looks like. I think it is as radical as you can go.
The intake is a toss up, I think overall you will like the Victor Jr. better on the track. Also, a 10:1 compression ratio. If you want to add a fuel additive, maybe a 11:1. Start with 1-3/4" headers.
Try this combo in Dyno2000:
355 w. 6" Rod
AFR 210 Heads
Flow Numbers:
0.2 Lift = 135/112 Intake/Exhaust
0.3 Lift = 197/145
0.4 Lift = 245/185
0.5 Lift = 273/205
0.55 Lift = 277/210
0.6 Lift = 282/215
Comp Cams 288HR Cam Specs: http://www.compcams.com/information/...umber=12-433-8
Gross Lift: 0.52 Intake 0.54 Exhaust
Duration @ 0.006 = 288/294
Valve Timing @ 0.006:
Intake 38 open 70 close
Exhaust 81 Open 30 close
106 Intake centerline
110 Lobe Seperation
Victor Jr. Single Plane Intake
850 Holley
