If you are building crankcase pressure (from blowby on the power stroke without proper evacuation), this pressure can also go the other way past the rings during the intake stroke. You can get oil ingestion to the cylinder past the rings without ever going trough the traditional PCV route (intake system). Even if this isn't 100% of your current knock source, it must be addressed. Venting to atmosphere is Busch league ****, do it right.

oil that cannot drain from the piston rings due to high crankcase pressure facilitates excessive cylinder wear and oil consumption, blow-by gas will dissolve into engine oil and circulate throughout the engine leaving deposits leading to eventual wear and failure.

Your eyes deceive you, as put it is a 'magic trick' that fools non-engineers , buyers fueled by ignorance
You really think that after decades of engineering and computer modelling that got us the insanely powerful modern engines we have today in all vehicles that they forgot to put a little box on the side?
'Me looking at a fully assembled LSx engine from 2002-2023 and thinking I know what I am doing I'm just gonna add this little box right here... there we go... fixed!' yeah right guys haha thats really going to do some good. Try learning how fluid molecules interact with containers and conceptualizing combustion, then come back when you are ready
