GM ZZ572 carb
Anybody have any personal experience with this carburetor? Or, have a strong opinion one way or the other?

My engine is a 540cid BBC that dyno'd at ~650hp. I originally had dual quads but then went to a Holley Sniper.
I've gone back to a carburetor. The carburetor I am presently using is a service counter replacement for the L88; 3418-1, with a 1970 date.
That's an 855cfm Holley with vacuum secondaries. One issue is that I need the thermocoil on the intake manifold for the choke to work properly. I'm running an aftermarket intake.
So, I've cobbled-up a divorced electric choke coil that works "OK".
Other than the choke, my existing carb is "OK" but I'm not thrilled. But, no real problems.
MY QUESTIONS:
Should I expect the above-linked GM 850 DP carb which was spec'd for the ZZ572 to "thrill" me?
Should I expect it to be more or less trouble-free out of the box?
Anybody bought and used that GM ZZ572 850 DP carb on one of their engines and know how it did?
