Hi Guy's I have just finished putting in my new cam and new Headers. I was wondering if any of you have used the ColorTune to set up your carb and if is worth the time and money thanks for the replies
I use a color tune and they work great ! I run 4 dcoe weber carbs on a moon crossram intake with individual runners to each cylinder . This allowed me to make the desired changes to each individual cylinder . It is a bit of a pia but the results were well worth it !
i've been successful with an O2 sensor at each cyl. see link in sig. for details.
Question: how do you test WOT with a colortune?
Have an assistant hang on to the fender as you floor it? :lolg:
Yes you will be able to see the color tune with the attachments that are supplied . Matt your point is well taken regarding the the use of sensors but,,, I really donot want to hack up my headers for each cylinder to tune a IR system . More people should read your tuning tips as they are a very good info resource .
This from the normally-sane David Vizard, the same guy who writes deep technical articles for Circle Track magazine. I don't want to be within 500 feet of a jacked-up car running wide-open throttle up against the brakes.
i'm sure glad i wasn't born yet when that article was written :D
Thanks to Vizards recent book(1996); that's where i learned to use an oxygen sensor.
tips in my sig.
