Default Looking for a better ignition system

Just burned up the third Jacobs ignition system. Now I need to decide if I have it repaired again or just go for another system.

This is a HEI on a BBC engine running 4 psi of boost, usually never see high RPM.

The Jacobs system is going on 5 years old, and has been sent in twice before for repairs, there has to be something better out there, any suggestions?

Why did it burn up? Years ago I almost went with a Jacobs but felt it was too expensive. I had a problem when I installed a Mallory unilite about 10 years ago. Shortly after I installed it the $70 module burned up. I called Mallory and they said you need a good engine ground - they were right! The ground strap on the motor was in bad shape. I installed a ground strap to each head and bought a new module. No problems for 10 years and counting.

I also am using an MSD 6T, a Jacobs Energy Team coil (standard coil with high windings) with a Mallory Comp 9000 unilite dist. & Taylor Sprio-Pro 8mm wires.

I can honestly say that I have never had a problem with this ignition system. The biggest difference I noticed was after I installed the MSD. It's idles better and the plugs last forever.
Here is a pic of my system in the car:

The box on the left is a timing computer that I haven't hooked up yet. The one to the right is the rev limiter for the 6T. I went with the 6T rather then the 6AL for heat transfer, and for troubleshooting in case there is a problem
(you can "unplug" the entire rev limiting system)
