Default The ultimate engine....

I think it would be cool to build the ultimate engine... as in a totaly theoretical engine with all new technologies not based off of any previous technology!
My requirements
Vee 8
dual OHC 5V
variable valve timing
aluminum block and heads
427 C.I.
billet crank
TI conecting rods
8500 RPM redline
Anyone else want to ad anything??

:D

It all looks fun except for the 8500 rpm redline combined with the 427 cid. Unless you're talking about a HUGE bore short stroke motor, it would never live (piston speed too high...this is something we're looking at in our Winston Cup research...WC motors are turning higher piston speeds than F1...by a LONG shot). Also, if you're talking about street use, titanium rods are not a very good idea (they fatigue quickly and require constant replacement).

Other than those things, look like fun...but why not twin turbo?

All being theoretical (some tech is not ready yet)
Aluminum V8 block and heads
4inch bore 3inch stroke 302ci
reverse flow cooling
exhaust manifolds intergrated into heads
32 V camless using computer controlled actuators
coil packs
12.0:1 CR computer tuned to for low emissions
8000 RPM red line
composite intake manifold
billet crank with knife edged throws
