i am using a solid lifter cam and before i took the arm off i had .030 of an inch clearance..it is supposed to be .022 inch..the stud was tight..the flat spots on the roller tip was to one side..where the stud comes thru the rocker slot there is a groove wore in the stud..the push rod is just slighty bent..i want change to full roller rockers..i am trying to figure out what i have to do to make this change and weather i should stay with 1.6 or go to 1.5 ratio??? i am using standard screw in studs with guide plates now..
well i think so!! this is the only one that did it after 2500 miles..i have autox and hard miles on it..cam is 248 degrees at .525 lift..i am wondering if i should go to 1.5 ratio..these rockers seem a whole bunch sloppy even set at .022 thanks
Good luck with this, maybe you can check everything out very carefully with that one valve "guide clearance, coil bind, pushrod clearance, rocker clearance, inspect that lobe etc...you may be surprised.
