Does anyone have any experience/ or comments with these pans ? I'm considering ordering the 3047 road racing pan, but haven't been able to find a website that has a picture of this pan.
I couldn't find one either. Get the best pan you can because they are like a life time investment. Mine was made for up to 4 inch stroker cranks in standard chevy blocks.
Mine is also dented out on the side where pistonless rod was helping the pan gain some extra oil volume  Just a reminder of don't ever try 375 hp N2O on stroker SBC's
TPIS sell a Champ and Canton pan. I have a drag car, so I have used their 7qt pa. I have also has a Hamburger pan. I believe either Stef's or B&B make a very similar pan. I now have a B&B pan. http://www.stef's.com
Thansk guys. I've looked at the Stef's, B&B, Canton's, Moroso, etc. They all seem to make really nice pans. Moroso has a nice road race pan also for $270 but doesn't say anything about crank scraper or windage trays being included in that price.
My new Summit cat shows a Hamburger pan that's notched for stroker clearance, scraper, windage tray, .055 thickness, mag oil drain, etc. for $170. Looks like a pretty good deal for the money, but I don't want something that has a sealing problem history or anything.
I don't have my records here, but my Moroso (I thinkit was Moroso) road race pan came bare, and they added a screen for me for a few bucks more. I'll try to remember to look through my paperwork this weekend and post from home.
Thanks Brad. That's actually one of the pans I've looked at. I can get a Canton Road Race pan from my builder for $150 brand new, but like the Moroso, I'd have to add a windage tray & crank scraper to the pan which again rasies the price. I'm seriously considering the Hamburg at this point, seems like a pretty good bargain ;)
