I will be pulling out of Greenwood, Indiana just south of Indy about 6:00am Friday and we stop about 1/2 way and eat breakfast at IHOP. Word has it that I-70 may be or one lane may be shut down from Indy to the IL. State Line for redoing the road. That is what I heard, don't know for sure. I will probably be driving a Gray Dodge Short Bed Hemi Truck pulling a 22' Gray Slope Nose Enclosed Trailer with a Vette inside for the For Sale Corral, unless I sell it at Carlisle this coming week. I should be on I-70 West bound at 465 about 6:30am. mikes54vet@aol.com

FYI, Club from Terra Haute said yesterday at a local car show that I-70 has construction going and the trip between Indy to the state line is 2-2.5 hours or worse depending on traffic. I believe they said construction going on in both directions.

I just went to Evensville Sunday from Indy out I 70 to Terra Haute and yes there is road construction going west and east. It is a hit and miss thing. Just take your time and you will be fine. There should not be that much traffic going west in the mornings it is fools coming into Indy going east in the morning that will catch hell because they are all going to work. You only want to be going east on I 70 in the evenings when the working people are going west going home. We will be at IHOP Friday morning having breakfast in Terra Haute about 7:45 to 8:00am you all are welcome to join us if you are in the area before going on to Funfest.

I'll be leaving Friday from Noblesville... If we can designate a time and place to meet up to cruise over I'd be interested in that.

Mid America took 10% off last year and of course no shipping. There was install alley for exhaust, wheels, tires, and places like Lingenfelter were on hand with booths. You could also have things purchased from Mid America installed, such as seat covers etc. They put my arm rest cover on for free last year. It was enjoyable, next year I want to try Corvettes at Carlisle. Let me know if you decide to go.

01IndyVette,

We will more then likely meet at the McDonalds in Plainfield right off of I70. We are talking about taking (I think its 40) over to avoid the construction. We will probably meet around 10am or so. If you have a two way radio bring it along, we have some.

You may blow a tire out if you take 70... The carbon will just fall out!!! 40 is the way to go and it's a pretty nice ride....

10 am at Mc'D's in Plainfield... I will see you guys there.... Luckily for me my Dad lives about 20 minutes from Effingham so no hotel stay.. Looking forward to the cruise over!!!

Will be leaving the Southside of Indy about 6:00am and will stop in Terre Haute at IHOP for breakfast and then on to Effingham. Make sure you all stop by the Car Corral and say Hi. I will have the 63 White SWC # matching 4spd Blk interior there F/S. If any of you get to the IHOP in Terre Haute about 7:30am and see my 22' enclosed Gray slope nose trailer in the north side parking lot in the back, come on in for breakfast, other wise see you at Funfest.
So is one lane on I 70 each way going to be open to the state line?

Would be fun and IHOP is always tasty but buddy of mine has to get the kiddos onto the school bus before we depart.
