Default is it me?

or are the newer faster servers actually slower? I seem to be geting the "waiting for reply "at the bottom a LOT more? any similar experiences. I have high speed cable and it seemed like the old servers were OK , never had the wait I do now.

My DLS sees no speed increase. Lots of delays.

I've been thinking the same thing. The site seems to navigate much more slowly lately.

Wondering the same thing. Was thinking about posting up and asking when the new servers would be on line Sometimes it is so slow it is almost painful I just give up and come back later.

If this question had been asked in the Help section, you probably would have found out there's no indication the new servers are being used yet.

Recently there was a posting on the home page saying we are on the new servers, but I notice that's gone now. In any event, I agree with all the others who are saying the forum is slower now than I have ever experienced it. I hope they aren't done with the upgrade, because if they are, it is a bust.

Like I could notice a difference anyway....I'm on a "high speed" satellite connection.

I finally have an option as DSL in now available in my area. I really should make the change.

Doesn't seem to matter what time of day it is or whether I'm at home on cable or at work on fiber, it's painfully slow and I get numerous server timeouts.

I can't recall what the lifetime member fee is, but mine was $25/yr.

That won't even buy you dialup speed these days.

Switching to the new servers definately didn't help speed. Time for a bigger pipe.

Mine is slower. I give up sometimes as nothing happens when I try to post a reply.

Many time outs, no response, slow response. If this site just went to a new sever, then there is a software conflict, background job freeze. The number of threads that are "live" and open to search can cause a problem. Usually a site this size has unlimited BW so I don't guess BW is the problem. My site, LS2.com has constant battles with Mysql and processes in the background hanging up causing issues. We've put scripts in place to look for background jobs that hang up and kill those. My site hums very fast.

This forum must have bigger background headaches than Mine.

Way slower.

I can't count the number of timer I've had to bag the site then come back later.
