It doesn't look like any of the concerns here have been addressed. This is Saturday, the "upgrade" was done Tuesday, and nothing has happened in four days to fix the "upgrade".

- Click Preview and the signature click goes away.

- There are no page numbers on the results of My Recent Topics.

- Advanced Search doesn't have most of the features from before.

- Auto-complete is gone. The field used to fill the user name as you typed in the search by user.

- Many of the forums still stretch off the right side of the screen. It makes it really hard to read.

PLEASE put back all the data prior to 2008. The body of knowlege that this forum had was priceless to me - now most of it is gone.

Can we please have our archives back?

In addition to previous posts...

My Recent Topic is hosed!

If I click on "My Recent Topics" and choose "Last 2 Weeks", I see several instances of identical topics shuffled throughout the list? When I choose "Sort results by Post Date" it does not work - dates are all over the place. If I add a reply to one of my posts that appears multiple times in the search results, that new time/date WILL update in all the shuffled instances when I re-select "Last 2 Weeks" again - but it shows up multiple time and shuffled all through the list?

Also when requesting My Recent Topics it takes about 10 times longer than it used to on high speed cable. To me this acts more like a "server" issue.

I think the owners of Corvetteforum need a stern reminder of how quickly z06vette.com died out after a data loss. Corvetteforum is now suffering from not only a data loss, but also a loss in functionality. As a result, I find myself spending more time on other forums. Would you like to find out how many others are doing the same? A forum can be a hobby for the person administrating it - something done in their spare time. Corvetteforum, however, is in an entirely different league. With the revenue from advertisers, forum vendors, and supporting members, it's more like a business. It's in the best interest of those running this site to fix it asap. Listen to, and help, those that make this site what it is.

When I go into my recent threads, it only shows a few that I have posted on, or not at all. I now have to go into advanced search, and it still doesnt take me where I need to go, or show all my posts, or if I go into threads I have subscribed too, for a reason, they are really old or not there at all. When it does, they are not posted according to date, and are just all over the place.

I know you guys are probably swamped with the upgrades, but this is something that is important to a lot of people, especially if they are doing a search for something of great importance.

Any idea when this feature will be up and running again?

I agree 100% !!

what some folks here might not realize is that the same company that recently bought the "Corvette Forum", also owns the "LS-1Tech" website. They recently did the same "upgrades" over there too.

Although this website has been both a "treasure trove" of Corvette information, as well as a tremendous source of plain old entertainment, via the "off topic" threads, I can get really tired of this place if it becomes too difficult to navigate. Edmunds.com also tried to be "something for everyone", and "updated" itself out of being one of my favorite places on the web. I hardly go there anymore.

It's been said numerous times before, and "carnut 101" said it most recently and directly....

It wasn't broke, so WHY IS SOMEONE TRYING TO FIX IT????

Has anyone noticed that the line that says "most posters on" Amount and time/date is no longer shown on bottom of page? Best bet is they way there are alienating people they realize the months old record will never be broken.

As a person that is on here most typical business hours (9am – 5pm) I can see that the number of posts/ posters has declined sharply since this UPGRADE

**********Guys if it’s not broke do not fix it!************

Arrrgh!

I was trying to research another mod I wanted to do, I've got favorites for all the thread mods I'm interested in.

It's gone too! Arrgh. Had I known they would be gone I'd have saved them locally.

PLEASE PLEASE BRING BACK OUR ARCHIVES OF KNOWLEDGE!!

We use the forum vendors to buy the products, so it's good for your business to have those archives online.

100%! Yesterday I was looking elsewhere to find some answers. But I would agree with dreamer2468, I am sure they are swamped with many problems and will resolve them all in due time. Lets not abandon this site yet, I am sure it will remain top notch.

I think I located part of the problem in the multiple instances showing up in the "My Recent Topics" search...

Every time "I" make another post or reply to a thread, it shows up AGAIN as another list element instead of just updating the the existing entry. ALL entries are updated with the new time, but are sorted by both the initial entry time as well as the update time.

You have some serious breakdowns in this update and they are not going to be easy to fix. I am shocked that when performing an update of this magnitude that you did not pass it off to a proxy server to let people test for a couple weeks prior to pulling the plug. Hope you have a backup! (of course, all the entries since the backup would be lost in all likelihood).

I agree, as well as saying this myself, for the last few days. They did the same "upgrade" to the LS1Tech website. (I hate to be repetitive about the LS1 deal, but it just demonstrated what "big business" does when it takes over a bunch of smaller entities)

Ditto, search results in a whole bunch of links that don't work. Seems like older than a year is broken.

I guess the Forum Sponsors will have to file a complaint, but they better do it quick! Right now we might be able to go back and only lose a week's worth of posts.

What was the reason for the update again?

All of the archive data is safe, no worries there I'm just rolling them into the "live" database at a slow, steady pace and keeping a close eye on things.

There's never any worry about data loss here. There's never fewer than three systems with an up-to-the-minute copy of the ENTIRE contents of CorvetteForum's database. Then on top of that, we have backups taken at regular intervals.
