Yes, but posting about it here will probably get locked. Sometimes they'll respond if you ask about it in the HELP forum.

It was slow when I had DSL now I have cable and it's so fast I use a Valentine 1 radar detector so the forum LEO's don't give me a ticket.....

thinks to all the advertising on the forum, it's usually an external link that causes the slow loading. Watch the bottom bar on your web browser, you'll see what it's trying to do. Most of the time it's trying to load something from the page I posted above. Fun stuff...

This site loads slower than most others for me, and has done so for many months. I assumed that nothing could be done on my end to improve it, did I miss something?

Are you running an ad blocker with your browser?
Most of the time, I can load C6 General or Off Topic in about 10-12 seconds.

Site loading slowly
This site loads extremely slow when I am using Comcast so I use Mozilla Firefox to view this site. It loads several times faster. Not computer literate enough to understand why but there is a huge difference in the loading speed. Whatever works.

I have been having trouble for days. Most of the time, I will just get the yellow vette at the top and the top banner ad, then just blank white space below. Sometimes where the banner ad is, I get some kinda error, can't remember, something about "server"? I had to just give up earlier, but I just got back on and it seems to be working OK.

Popup blocker but not a general ad blocker, I seem to be getting all the ads. Would that make a difference?

I have a 3mps conection at home and a 7mps connection at work. The site loads slow at both locations using IE 8.0 on Windows XP computers.

Running Firefox instead of IE 7.0 makes a considerable difference. I have not used IE 8, but I'm guessing Firefox would still be faster.
I've got a 10 Mbps connection at home on a Windows Vista computer.
