Default Cloudfare... ???

recently when I go to the forum website I am getting an intermediate screen from something called "Cloudflare" before it transitions to the forum website.

my malware and virus software doesn't pick it up so it might/must be legitimate. BUT, it does NOT happen with any other website but the forum....

anyone having this problem?

Bill

Yes, the same screen pops up for me too. It happened yesterday for the first time. Maybe the forum moderator can explain what this is?

Same here, but It immediately goes to a bad link notice. This happens on AOL, but when I go to Bling it does as Bill says

Same annoying thing is happening here, Bill. Some programmer with too much time on his hands, no doubt.....

Here's your answer, on the Help forum

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...r-browser.html

Post 8, from forum IT guy:
The message is legitimate and comes from Cloudflare. CorvetteForum is behind Cloudflare's DDOS protection due to a DDOS event.

While it may be inconvenient seeing the message briefly, it's probably better than not having the site load at all.

I did a little research on this as I'm seeing it too.

Apparently, it's a new security feature of the Forum software to ensure you are a person and not a malicious script doing an attack.

Seems harmless, if annoying.

EDIT: This is from Moderator JT in the 'help' forum:

The message is legitimate and comes from Cloudflare. CorvetteForum is behind Cloudflare's DDOS protection due to a DDOS event.

While it may be inconvenient seeing the message briefly, it's probably better than not having the site load at all.

So your "research" consisted of reading my post 3 above yours, and duping it?

I actually didn't see your post.
I googled the text of the message and found links to the Cloudfare DDOS protection.

I suspect the forum is still under attack.. messages are missing and delayed.

thank you

hmmmm, it is a PIA, no other website that I venture to is using this or anything like it.... it actually causes me DDOS too; via the "bad link" notice and refusal to go to the forum website....

and it is invading MY privacy too by scanning MY browser.... a subtle form of spyware/malware...

Bill

Hey Bill.....it started a couple days ago for me. I get a "redirect from your browser" notification page that stays there for a few seconds before I get to the Forum. No idea what it's all about. And no danger warnings from my security suite either. Maybe the powers that be can 'splain it to us earthlings?

FWIW. everybody seems to be missing the second "L". It's Cloudflare.

Apparently this is in defense of some attack. I'm more a wrench and hammer guy, computers are beyond my pay grade.

I've been getting it in recent days too, only here on CF. I Googled around to find out what it was.

At any rate I ended up here as a last resort, to confirm what I read that it is a security thingy coming from CF -- it's not some malware that snuck onto my browser.

I agree; it is annoying.
