Hi. The pictures are great, paper tags and all
How do you know about the 75/80 Drag Strip. with you being from Vegas? It is near Montrovia, Maryland It closed in 2005, but I've been there. The picture in my avator is at Cecil County Dragway. I'll try to insert a couple more pictures.
I hope you are having a nice day and that the weather in Vegas is more "Vettable" than it is here for the present.
Come on Spring!
See ya, , Bob

Hi Pretty Woman (I appologize Hubby )
What made you decide to go to Vegas? (other than the MD weather - LOL)
Oh, you raced huh? GREAT! I've never raced at either, but I've been to Capitol and helped a friend in the pits.
X Bodies huh? I had a 69 Nova, but always liked the previous generation, 66 & 67. I have a beautiful 67 SS, 327 CI, four speed, 12 bolt posi, AND numbers matching! What X Bodies do you have?
I'm really looking for the weather to get decent here, probably another month
Sorry to have bent your ear "homie"..Take care, stay in touch, and give that lucky Hubby a big hug and kiss - after you do the same to your Vette too!
, Stay safe.

Actually I moved from Upper Marlboro MD back in 05 right around when they closed 75/80. I never raced there but many of my friends did. I was always racing at MIR or Capitol. Have you ever raced at either? Unfortunatly I didn't have my vette at that time. I was really in to X bodies which I still am and still own 2. The weather here is perfect for the vette! All last week I could have had the top off If I wanted to. I definatley dont' miss MD weather!

Three reasons for the Vegas move, 1- the cost of living was a lot cheaper when we first moved out here 2- the weather and last but not least, the race track is open 11 months out of the year instead of 6-7 like MD. Unfortunatley we have not raced much since we've been out. Had to sell everything to get out here. But I mainly raced my beloved 78 Nova that I had to sell and regret every second of my life. My husband had a 73 nova and an F body (87 Iroc). Right now we only have projects. (pics attached) The 75 Oldsmobile F85 we kept. It has the original 6 cyl with 45,000 original miles. Drove it all the way from MD to NV with no problems. She rolled the whole way. We have a 350 to go in her once we rebuild it. And I just bought a 73 Buick Apollo that will be back on the road soon. (she needs a transmission re-build ). I had a horrible experience at Capitol one night. Actually IMHO their track stinks. If you ever get a chance to go to MIR take it! It's a great track and the people are really cool. Evertime I see it on an episode of pinks it brings a tear to my eye. Although I must say, the track here is quite nice!
(can you see the MD tag!)

Nice pics. Looks like I have ran across another car nut! I have not been a fan of anything built after 1972, until a friend of mine challenged me to make a 73 as desireable as a 68 through 72 C3. I like challenges - thus Plum Different! I like my numbers matching 67 Nova, but sometimes those numbers drive you a little nuts and you just want to let go. Therefore 'Plum Different' and a 56 Ford F-100 pick-up with a 429 CI Cobra Jet engine! A thrill I'm attaching a pic of each!
You keep on 'ear bending', I'm enjoying every post!

Car nut! Guilty as charged! I'm not a fan of Fords but your truck is very impressive! Chrome is my favorite color so the engine bay is just stunning! And I'm so jealous! I dream to own a chevy II. I understand what you mean about the numbers thing. Never had anything to compare it to but with my Olds I've been wanting to pull that straight six out forever but it won't damn die and Its a rare car so it's like, to pull the engine or not to pull? HMMM, gotta have a v-8 so it's coming out. I go for the 70's cars because they are in my price range although I dream of a Chevy II! I'm a serious sucker for any nova really (except 80's. they don't count)

Hi again
The F-100 is just a 'braggin wagon', I'm a GM person mostly.
So, you like chrome huh? Check out the engine pics of Plum Different. ( coming after the 63) Since you like Nova's/Chevy !!'s, here is another couple of pics to make you drool. I brought the 63 SS back from the dead!
Oh, by the way, if I get to be a pain, let me know. I don't have any ulterior motives!

More pics coming - if you can stand it
