Hiya Kelly,
That is a nice BelAir you are sitting in I like his style, you can still recognize it as what it is, but with a few nice touches!
Yep, there was some snow here But it won't be long until the fun begins again! I gave my Vette an oil change before I put her to bed to hibernate for the winter
I was reading some other posts, and noticed that you have recently just lost an old friend - I'm so sorry and sympathize for you deeply. Just remember Kelly, memories never die!
The 67 Nova, the way I bought it - Granada Gold, with black vinyl roof and a gold vinyl interior wasn't such a bad combination for eye appeal, but it just seemed kind of "Grandfatherish" LOL I don't lie to anyone that it is an original Marina Blue car. Paint and interior are the only non matching numbers - the easiest fix of any!
Take your time on pictures - when you come accross some. Speaking of pictures, you have some folks 'drooling' on here - can't even see the car for the 'trunk ornament' You go girl!
I'm gonna post a pic of "Buddy Holly", 'being allowed' to have his pic taken in my Nova. Then I'll wait to hear from you at a later time. YOU take care of Kelly!

She needed it bad. I don't have any pictures for you yet. I had to cram so much into 2 measly little days but hopefully I'll come across some this week. You know I'm not a fan of gold but I actually like the nova the way you bought it. Althought the blue you decided to paint it is much more of a "head turning" color. So you got it from Arizona, they always have the good stuff down there. LOL. Back in Novemberish my husband and I went down to phoenix for a huge car show. There were so many cars there we couldnt' see all of them in one day. (didn't help that you could hardly pry us from the swap meet.) A really nice gentleman actually let me take a pic in his bel air.

okay where can I get a copy of the "ten commandments" to hang in my garage? That pic of "buddy holly" in your car almost looks fake. Good photography. If you look at the pic of me in the Bel Air I was scared I was gonna screw something up I didn't even want to close the door all the way. Lol. Actually, I like Bel Air's but It wasn't my first choice at the show. I happened to just be walking past admiring it and the owner asked me to take a pic with it. As for your "drooling" comment I dont' know about that one. I showed my husband the pics I put on here and he couldnt' believe it as I am so self concsious. Have you ever gone to/showed at world of wheels in Baltimore or DC? I have modeled at the world of wheels in Baltimore and hot import nights So embarrassed by the last one as I wouldnt' be caught dead in some riced up 4 cyl.

Buddy Holly is a 'fake' - the picture was taken at an event called "Blast From The Past", thus the old cars and look-a-like stars from the past. You had to submit a picture and description of your car to be judged for acceptance! An honor
I can't tell you where you can get a copy of the "ten commandments", but you now have them to enlarge in what ever way you can get it done! Actually, my personal "ten commandments" for having a Vette, is - drive-fun-drive-fun-drive-fun-drive-fun-drive-fun
As to the Bel Air's, 53 and 54 never had the appeal of the 55 thru 57.
Anyhow, you sitting in a Bel Air, or standing up against a 99 red Vette certainly doesn't hurt the looks of the cars!:bb I've been to 'world of wheels', but never shown any cars - I'm a driver first, shower second, small time LOL I didn't think you were a 'rice burner' kind of gal A model, YES:bb
Let me see what I can upload for your viewing pleasure

Well it seems if you have a had a little of everything at some point. What is that 49? The reason I asked about World of Wheels, I've done some shows there. (just modeling, not car showing ) Something I'd never do again But anyways, I've got some pics. There aren't very good quality. I took a picture of pictures (poor mans photography) that i've had in albums. I dont have any of how she looked when I first got her but needless to say, nothing like the day I sold her. Probably not your taste but I loved her!

Next day after my last visit to MIR

When I bought her, she had the original 305. Keep in mind this was my daily driver. So I wanted to run the 305 dead until I upgraded it but the damn thing wouldn't die. At the engine swap it had 306,000 miles with no problems what so ever! Never had a rebuild never had nothing!

Do you like my tag??????

Do you like my tag??????

I painted the 350 aluminum to match my chrome accessories. So many people thought I had aluminum heads.

And the finished product after engine swap

And here she is down in Solomon's Island (my old neighborhood). I cruised her down there the summer before we left for Las Vegas

At first I wasn't in to the stickers on the side windows but my tint started peeling in the corners and no one could fix it so I added a couple stickers then I started liking the look but now I could go either way. The big sticker on the back window says "chicks with slicks" that was my club back in MD. I was the president/founder. The guy I sold it to wasn't too fond of that so he took the C off in front of Chicks.

As for the decals on the windows, LOL - look at the attached pics of my 67 once upon a time - now I believe they belong on race cars.
The 49, I took back to an era correct "lead sled", that was in 1988, when you were about 5! Pretty to look at, but no fun to drive
Okay Kiddo, I'll wait to see if you get this. Remember, 'decals' are out , Bob

yeah i believe decals go on race cars. I was confused at the time so that car was my daily driver/race car/occasional show car. Believe it or not I've actually won a couple of trophies with her. (3 to be exact) I didn't show it often though. As for a led sled, after I finish my numerous other projects I really really want a 65 Buick Wildcat. Never even knew they even existed until recently and I'm in love. It's just something about it. (and yes i was 5 in 88. LOL ) Hey you know what, I think I might break a record here for the newbie with the most posts to thier newbie thread.

Thanks. Believe it or not some dip sh*t actually asked me once if it stood for Northern Virginia Lady and he was at the race track so he had to be at least a little car savvy. What a retard.

Lol. Yeah that would be me. 5 foot 1 and plenty of torque. I'm not your average sit around and watch girl. I'm always trying to do something and learn something. I'm still learning and breaking stuff as I go. My husband is a good teacher but he loves Fuel injection. We differ in that area. I'm more of a carb girl but I think that's because it's my comfort zone.
