Since you like Nova's/Chevy !!'s, here is another couple of pics to make you drool. I brought the 63 SS back from the dead!
Oh, by the way, if I get to be a pain, let me know. I don't have any ulterior motives! , Bob
More pics coming - if you can stand it
Ok way to make a girl drool! No way are you a pain I didn't join a forum to sit around and look! LOl! I enjoy your company. And for the ulterior motives statement- I am 2500 miles away I really believe that you have ulterior motives. Is the 63 a convert or just a soft top? I enjoy pics, the more the better. I wish I had something to compare to what you have but in due time. And for the chrome, stunning! I love it!!!!!! In the car show pic is that your nov beside the truck?
Hiya Cutie:bb
Yep, there is a pic of the Nova and the truck
The 63 is not a convert - I had the roof painted white, which was an $11.00 option on the 63, just to be a conversation piece! It has the cowl tag indicating that it is a true SS, but as they only came from the factory in 63 as 6 cylinders with three speeds or powerglides, a lot of car people don't want to recognize the 63 SS with a V8 and four speed. People more in the know are aware that there was a dealership option in 63 to put in the V8 and four speed - in exchange for the 6 banger and whatever tranny, for about $1,800.00 - about an additional 1/2 to what the car could be bought for before the conversion.
Take care of 'Lady K'

See, I have the best of two worlds - a 67 Nova and a Purple Vette! I love that Vette, it is Plum Different! A lot of people run right by the pure c2's and C3's to gawk at it and scratch their heads - LOL
You have much to compare - you have a beautiful red Corvette, and a couple of X Body cars to play with, and a GREAT attitude! All things come in due time. You and your husband just enjoy life to it's fullest, and it appears that you are off to a good start! , Bob
A pic of my 69 Nova from years ago.

It's seems as if you have a thing for blue or shades of it.(plum purple) That Nova sure has come a long way! so what's the story behind the black bear on the roof???? I love the 69's body style. That is my second favorite besides the chevy II's. I think I choose to go the later 70's route only becuase it was different. Not the norm. Everybody wants to fix up the later 60's early 70's novas, chevelle's and camaro's etc. Hence why I have what I have now. Besides the affordability factor the late 70's style was different for me. I hated having to find parts though. I'm trying to see if I can find a pic of my 78. I dont' have internet at home so I only have what I've stored on-line or at work as far as pics go. Your vette is surely a beaut!!!!! Very unique I might add. Not something you see just randomly driving down the street everday. Too bad I don't still live in MD we could cruise & show together!!!!
Well hello Lady K! (What might the 'K' stand for? Good to see you back. I do have a thing for blue LOL, even my daily driver is blue! (pic attached).
The bear on the roof of the 63 was just there as an attention getter! LOL I've been a 'Nova Nut' for a long time. When it comes to information on the 62 through 67, I have a reputation of knowing the right answers. The 68 through 72 I am fairly familiar with, but after that it's time to open a book! The 63 and 67 are the first Super Sports I have owned. In addition to the 69, I previously had a 63 wagon, 66 2dr HT, and a 67 2dr HT.
I can appreciate your reasoning to do something different and out of the norm - you've seen my stuff That's how I got into Nova's in the first place - other folks were doing Camaro's and Chevelle's! I've been through a 68 Camaro, and a 65 and 70 Chevelle. I've always seemed to have good taste. Take that as a compliment:bb
I would like to see a pic of your 78 if you can round one up. Thanks for the compliment on my Vette - As you may have noticed on pictures, I have done away with the rubber front bumper, removed all badging, molded a spoiler into the rear body, replaced the seats (silver leather from a 78 Pace Car Vette), and the Cragers and hookers speak for themselves!
If you were still in Maryland, it would be my great pleasure to do some cruising and showing together with you! You would also get a chance to bang through some 4 speeds
Okay Pretty Woman, I'll post a few pics and wait to hear from you later. Try not to work too hard , Bob

If you don't like four speeds, the F-100 has a C6 three speed automatic hooked up to a Ford 9 inch posi rear. If you don't respect it, it can be a scarey ride! With an 850 cfm holley on that 429 engine, it also isn't the most economical one of my toys to drive It has a rack and pinion steering front suspension with power discs.
Okay, some more pics of it - you got me going girl!
K- Stands for Kelly. I couldn't think of anything cool that wasn't already taken and I was so anxious to start posting that I didn't want to wait until I thought of anything cool. Lol. I enjoy all of your pictures. I like the idea of the bear on the roof. I used to do the same thing with a stuffed black and white dog. I'm going to see if I can't round up some pics this weekend. Sorry but I've got to keep this post short and sweet. I gotta get back to work. I won't be on over the weekend so enjoy yours. Hopefully the weather is decent over there. I've got some back yard landscaping to do, amungst some other odds and ends on my cars and hopefully I'll have some new pics when I come back on Monday!
Since your name is Kelly, I think that 'Lady K' is more than "cool" enough!
The weather here is not decent enough for any playing with toys this weekend, so I have some other 'fun' plans
I hope you and yours have a fine-fine weekend!
I'll miss you, little new found buddy!
If you are out in your Vette (I'm jealous ) keep it between the ditches!
Later, , Bob
Attached is a pic of the 67 as I bought it - came from Arizona

O what a long weekend! I heard MD got some snow! You can keep it over there! This weekend was great, a little windy though but I was able to get some yard work done and do an oil change on the vette. She needed it bad. I don't have any pictures for you yet. I had to cram so much into 2 measly little days but hopefully I'll come across some this week. You know I'm not a fan of gold but I actually like the nova the way you bought it. Althought the blue you decided to paint it is much more of a "head turning" color. So you got it from Arizona, they always have the good stuff down there. LOL. Back in Novemberish my husband and I went down to phoenix for a huge car show. There were so many cars there we couldnt' see all of them in one day. (didn't help that you could hardly pry us from the swap meet.) A really nice gentleman actually let me take a pic in his bel air.
