That I sold my 1967 Corvette(16221) . After I got married we continued to drive it as a daily driver until it was time to buy our first house and it provided a lot of the money for the down payment. We sold it and I drove a Honda Accord but we had a house to call our own. It was a red/red 1967 327/350 that we had taken on trips to Daytona and Key West and once I hit a Coyote in it while traveling through Alabama. Once I had to straighten a bent push rod on a sewer plate with a brick using tools that I had borrowed from a passer-by in a BMW.
I found it for sale at Mershon's a couple of years ago (16221). It did not make sense to buy it and I had no place to keep it so I let it go again but sure did miss it.
Finally, having just retired, I bought a different (red/black) 1967 (11623). Man, I have been having a great time driving around in this car. It needs a little work on the steering (which is loose) but other than that a great car. Smells like the old one, drives like the old one (although it does seem slower than I remember). Anyway, I'll be using the forum to learn about Corvette related stuff and re-join the fray.

Welcome aboard. Mershons huh - he lived close to me and used to drive "TOYS" home regularly. His maybe 1/8 mile long driveway used to get a workout thru 1st gear. Cracked me up when his Mrs used to pick child up from school in her prowler. I've since retired & relocated and miss seeing his showroom in person.
Great to have you. Come and see the new road track in the spring of 2009 located near Warsaw KY. Exit 62 off I-71 and north 1 mile. Bluegrass Motorsports
