So, I finally got my baby home last night. A 1975 Stingray Coupe, bought it from a guy who imported it from TX in 2008. I read up on what to look for, and it seems to be in a pretty good shape.
I'm in Croatia, and this is probably one of 4-5 C3s we have in the whole country. So, I'll be looking at you guys as my main source of information, so excuse my lame questions - American cars are very rare over here, Corvettes even more so. I have nowhere to learn from to start with, but I do learn quick
I'm now storing her in a plain garage, but I'll be buying a proper garage with a ditch and everything to share with a friend who drives a '84 Audi GT coupe (and dreams of restoring it).
There's a lot of work to do, all the usual stuff - tach board is dead, vacuum branch to pull up headlights is too weak to pull them up (although they go down easily), weatherstripping is non-existent, and windows are unaligned. And heating does not work at all - I think that'll be a big one.
The last three made for a fun ride home from the place where I bought it, 250 miles in an unheated drafty car, with 35-45 Fahrenheit air temperature.
However, the frame is in fantastic condition, and engine and transmission run great, and are mostly pristine. I'm going to the US in two weeks, so I'll be hauling back Vette parts by the suitcase
Hey, Harry, Congrats with your C3 Stingray. I own a 1993 C4, here in the netherlands and maybe this tip is a good one. Look at this website www.autobedrijfandreboer.nl It is here in the Netherlands and they are really experts in Corvette and it is also the home of the Dutch Corvette Collection. A museum with 90 Corvettes from all years. Also they have a lot of spare parts of all years to sell. Maybe something for you? Also The Dutch Corvette Club website www.stingray82.nl has his home here.

Hey, that's pretty cool. I'll be in Amstedam in May, I might take a half-day off to go take a look
Harry, Please, visit them. You will not regret that. It is only 90 km. from Amsterdam. If you want me to translate something on the website from Dutch to English, please, contact me.
