Default Newb seeking C5

Greetings all! I'll be "lurking" here until I am able to become a regular poster after hopefully acquiring a new (to me) C5.

I currently own an 05 GTO. Standard boltons. Midnight Blue/M6.

I REALLY love my car but I don't drive it nearly as much as I used to and I've owned it for 4 years now. I don't even think I ran a full tank of gas through it all summer actually. I just wash it and look at it and take pictures of it mostly...so If I'm gonna be THAT guy I might as well have something that might be a little more exciting to drive when I do. Plus insurance is cheaper, which is surprising.

I figure if I could parlay the GTO into a C5 it would be a nice upgrade.

So, I have started here on my quest. I've already found a couple of cars I am interested in. I am looking for an 01-02 M6...preferably a coupe. I would take an FRC or Z06 if a really great deal came along but I just find the looks of the coupe sexier. I figure i'm not losing too much in terms of performance because from what I've seen here even stock M6 coupe's with good tires dip in to the 12's on a regular basis. And I am not against buying a bolton car either so I think for the occasional drag strip run and weekend cruising I think I'll be happy.

Now I just need to find someone local with a C5 to take me for a ride or even let me have a go with theirs. Not many local vette's here at the dealerships and most people give you a hard time about taking a test drive :/
