I've been looking at owning a 68-72 Corvette since I was a teen and I've finally accomplished it!
A little about me:
Raised in Tampa, Florida. Right after graduating, I enlisted in the US Navy as a weapons specialist (FT) aboard nuclear submarines. Did six years and decided to be a civilian. Unfortunately, I really didn't like being out of the service, so I decided to reenlist with the US Army and jump out of perfectly good airplanes and helicopters. I am now recently retired and my wife and I reside at Fort Gordon until we move to northern Georgia in the next 6 months or so. I enjoy working on anything mechanical. I'm a decent marksman, enjoying riding my motorcycle, and really into SciFi and Anime.
A little about the 'Vette:
It's a 1970 numbers matching LT-1 coupe with a little under 60K miles. Original Donnybrooke Green exterior with Light Saddle interior. About 95% original survivor, it even still has the smog pump attached. All manual car, no power anything. The only thing not original is the carburetor. Unfortunately, when I bought the LT-1, it didn't come with any real documentation. The only thing I have is the original owners manual. No PoP, no Tank Sticker. I did sign up with NCRS and requested the Shipping Data Report.
My plans for the LT-1 is to drive it a few times a week, maintain it, and maybe show it. I would like to try to track down previous owners to find out more about the Vette, and maybe even find some of the missing documentation.
If there's anything you guys what to know, just shoot me a PM.
