Aloha all! I served in the military for 20 years and recently retired from Submarine Force. I’ve now planted roots in Monterey County in California and dabble in law enforcement.
My father just passed down his 1961 Vette to me.
While I know about engines and am a master of blueprints, QA, and manuals…I’m 100% as noob as it gets when it comes to this car. For this reason, I’ve decided to join this forum in hopes that it’s active and a wealth of information as I have lots of plans for this car. For example replace drum brakes with disc, master cylinder, and go from carburetor to full injection.
The car itself was found in the bed of a river basically a shell. My father restored it literally from the ground up to what it is today.
for those curious for pictures just ask and if there’s a specific place I should post them feel free to attach a link.
Welcome to the Forum, Aaron, and congratulations on the C1 your father has passed down to you.
Sounds like your father has already laid a good foundation for you to start with, and the great members in the C1/C2 sections will be able to provide a lot of insight into your disc brake and fuel injection conversions.
Thank you, too, for your military career!
