6. ATTENDEE INFO INCLUDED
First post (at top) has been updated

Starting at 10:00 AM and driving for 5+ hours... It'll be at least 6:00 PM and could be dark by the time we're heading back to Denver... Should the start time be moved to 8:00 or 9:00 AM? (NOTE - I'm not a morning person...)

No, 10 works for me. I hated having to get up early for the last one!

Default All is good...

10am is PERFECT... No change necessary. Besides I thought this was not going to be a turtle run.

Last I checked, my Vette and I don't melt after 6pm.. See Corvette's in the sunset.. All is good..

The downside to a later start is more traffic.

When I went with jbridgett to scout the estes park run, there was a lot less traffic on about half of the roads. Part of that reason is also because we didn't take a break for less than like 5 minutes until we hit Nederland.

We hit the heavy traffic after about 11am or noon when we went down through blackhawk.

I'm pretty sure I don't like to get up early any more than the rest of you do , I just think there's a pretty clear cut benefit to an early start.

Just my two cents.

I'm almost positive I'll be attending no matter what.

I'll change whatever comes up to be in on this run no matter when it takes place.

Thanks to RAMMAN for the suggestion to lunch at the Woodland Park Sonic. I spoke with the manager, "Jorge" who confirmed that they can accommodate our number, do not have anything else scheduled, and will have a full compliment of staff.

How long should I allow to get from Colorado Springs to the start point in Golden? I am guessing 90 minutes or so.

At that time of the morning, I would think 90 minutes would be plently of time. Even driving the speed limit...
