Is ther any advantage to extra tall wheels?(Besides being a Baller) Its a sports car not an Escalade.
Alex- CCWs alone are going to weigh you down at the Pocanos, and then C6 runraps on top of that. I thought you were into weight savings.
I am, I'm actually thinking of ditching the runflats for a set of GS-DS2's if I don't buy any aftermarket wheels. I'm just curious as to how much they'll weigh with the runflats though. My runflats have already saved me once and its nice to have the security when you go on long road trips. I'll probably end up getting nonrunflats with a set of aftermarket wheels.
Alex I would look at the Michelin Pilot Runflats if you are worried. They are better than the EMTs and still giove you some comfort in knowing that you can drive on then without air. The major difference is that the EMTs can go 200 miles while the Pilots can go only 50 miles, but here in NY/NJ you can find a place in 50 miles.
Intrubl has them on his car and he likes the handling over the stock tires. They will probably be my next set.

Thanks, I often confuse my car for an SUV. What do you care about performance, you're afraid to get your car dirty.
IMHO, the best T R A C K setup is the CCW classics 18s all around. With those wheels you can run some pretty stout tire selection. The tire manufactures have been slow to offer a 19X11 tire -- and in fact there are only two manufactures that make a 19X11 305 tire. My car handles quite a bit better with larger tires, but straight line traction is worst since I have less sidewall.
My CCWs weigh slightly more then my stock Z06 wheels and tires (can't remember the exact weight), they are the lightest 19" wheel that CCW produces.
Just an FYI, CCW got it's start producing hardcore race wheels, and still offer a great race-only selection.
It comes down to tire selection, and runflats are like the worse option out there.
A tutorial on washing a Vette? Good god man! Make sure you check the ph balance of the water first, if it's too high GM could void your warranty!
Hey Barry, can you show me how to operate a hose?

He jus likes to keep his things nice....and mine i guess.. he's like that with all of his stuff. It's ok though, he's a good boy. And, less cleaning for me if I marry a neat freak
Karin thinks I'm a lunatic when it comes to washing the Vette. Come to think of it, she thinks I'm a lunatic all the time
It takes about 4 hours to do it right! Like an English Muffin, you need to hit every "nook and granny". I have even been known to perform a shortened version in the pitch dark. It's just a sickness I guess.
Shannon, you do not know what you have gotten yourself into but welcome aboard anyway. Prepare to take a step into the darkside. Based on Jason's post on meaning of screen name's, it doesn't sound like you will be alone
Jenna Jameson hmmmmm, now thats interesting
Reminder, still need a list of guys (sorry Shannon) ahhhgh persons (PC) going to Englishtown this Saturday. Postup in the thread.
