You are right, higher fuel cost means higher transportation cost which drives overall inflation.

And Greenspan is pumping int. rates to check inflation, how about some work to check fuel price gouging!

seen anywhere from 2.73 (wa wa rt 9 bayville) to 2.89 at the hess station on rt 9.

My other daily driver is a toyota prius 55mpg

Just reported this morning ABC-News, Atlanta, GA $6.07 super. rumors spread that they are running out of gas.

I just heard on the news that gas may be at $4 EVERYWHERE by October 1st. That means here in NYC, it'll probably be like $6 for premium.

Sounds like the age of long azz cruises is over. Eventually, we'll all be forced to take the train to a designated meeting area and bring a pic of our vette to show off.

Took the DVL to work today, on highway in 6th gear @ 65mph 1400rpm averaged 27 mpg

Thanks for the link SC John; I just checked premium at the Mobile next to me here in SE NY and it read $3.79...WTF. These people in NY are nuckinfuts; let em eat their freekin gasoline.

Anyway, it's worth a drive into Ft. Lee, NJ to fuel up.
