When the weather gets a little colder and I make the 70 mile (one-way) trip to Captree, do I still have to supply the "chocolate milk"?

There is a member here from L.I. that installed it behind the grill, his name is Joel, did not look bad but I'm not sure if it will fly with the LEOs.

I doubt it. It is supposed to be clearly visible. You'd probably be better off flipping it up on the dash for the trip, but that isn't correct either so no guarantees.

Best bet to travel is via Wantagh Parkway south if you're coming from Queens as the Meadowbrook is closed as of Nov. 6th.

See Newsday below:

A portion of the southbound Meadowbrook State Parkway will be closed for an entire week beginning Friday morning as workers make emergency repairs to the drawbridge over Sloop Channel, state transportation officials said.

All southbound lanes on the Meadowbrook State Parkway between Loop and Ocean parkways will be closed to motorists starting at 9 a.m. Friday and continuing until Nov. 14 at 3 p.m.

The road closures are necessary to make "critical bridge repairs" on the 74-year-old drawbridge over Sloop Channel, which carries about 15,000 vehicles each day, transportation officials said. To replace a deteriorated steel piece of the bridge, it must remain in the open position.

Hey Al,
I got no front plate and now no inspection either so I'm heading for Englishtown instead. I'll see you next week if I can get Junior to get it inspected somewhere!

Good idea. See you next week, weather permitting.

No plate issue for me.

I went to E-town also. How was Captree. The weather was perfect for this time of the year.
