It seems that this has become an all too common thread here, but it is part of life I guess. My older sister Carol passed away last night after a very long illness. She suffered from pulmonary fibrosis, and finally could not continue. It is a terrible, and very debilitating disease, which robs you of your breath, and ultimately your life. She was on oxygen for the past few years continuously. Carol was unique, to say the least. She was a very talented photographer, artist, and attorney, and even argued cases up to the Supreme Court in the State of California. She worked for Boeing Aircraft for a time, and became a judge in Ventura County for awhile before she was forced to retire due to her illness. Her favorite jokes were attorney jokes. She would say, that after being a judge for awhile, it was hard to believe that so many of them were so incompetant.
Carol leaves behind her brother ( me), our Mom, and two sons who are married, and each the fathers of two sons. She left this world a better place with the things she helped create, and she will always be in my thoughts for the wisdom, and understanding she gave to me, especially in the last months of her time here with us.

My sincere condolences, Ralph. It sounds like you sister fit more into her life than 4 people could.
She took what God gave her and ran with it.
She will always be in your heart and I'm sure that when you think of her, a smile will be on your face.
