First off dont act like your impressing anyone by drviing in a straight line. I think i am going to go out and buy a pet money and teach it how to drag race to prove to you that the driving skills necessary are minimal
Ok so maybe I will respond:
You have yet to do it, so don't assume it is easy. There are plenty of people on here who have busted their butt at the track to get points and run their car to it's potential that would strongly disagree with you. Since it is so easy, you had better run a 12.7 on street tires your first time out.

So pulling the sway bars off your daily driver is considered sensible, so you total your car during the first evasive manuever you are forced to make?
Talk about misinformation. You asked me why removing the swaybar was beneficial, I answered your question. I even specifically said I would never do it, but that some people do. I also don't plan to do anything for weight reduction, I will run the car as it sits weight wise, minus maybe jack and spare at the track. So don't put words in my mouth. This coming from someone who bought the same intake twice... yeah that's sensible.

Never go into a battle of witts unarmed... :nono:
You dont know what i am doing with the car, so how can you tell me what i am going to make or lose, if it turns out its not worth selling then i'll keep it, but i have a strong feeling that its worth my while getting rid of it :yesnod:
You just said it yourself in your response to MrViperGTS's post, but on this board, that you plan on reselling to make a profit. (Remember your whole M3 comparison?) Your original argument was that you were using your friend's certificate. If that is *still* your story, you will pay sales tax twice.

Oh and by the way, it is "wits" with one 't'. If you want to insult my intelligence, at least learn how to spell.

Also I work about 15 hours a week...i own 5 cars...property...and i answer to virtually no one...sounds sensible to me :smash:
You forgot to mention you still live at home. That's not too difficult to manage.

It pretty much boils down to the people who really have something to flaunt, don't find it necessary to do so :nono:

Back to the original post....If the cats are physically present but gutted out, a road check will not give you away. When it comes to inspection, they will see the emissions are off, especially if your tuner doesn't have everything dead on. When I worked in a shop that did inspections, I got all my paperwork from the state that certified me to perform the inspections, and because of my ASE L1 cert we also got certified to do emissions repairs. Usually, the performance gains were not worth the headaches and anyone who thinks that gutting their cats on an OBD-2 car (anything built after '95 is OBD-2 compliant) without reprogramming is also going to have the nice surprise of a check engine light coming on, and a code for catalyst efficiency(actually the lack thereof). Overall, I'd just leave 'em on, it's really not worth all the stress....

Artie- I have the rear 02's and such edited out so I don't have to stare at the SES light constantly, so that isn't the issue here. I think I am just going to get the cats... it's easy enough with the FLP's because you can swap the ORPs for the cats in about 5 minutes.

LadyInBlack- thanks for the offer, I will probably be emailing you very soon
I was wondering where you had run off to, hadn't seen you around here for a while!
