Prayers Are NEEDED for Billystro

I don't get the dog thing but I hope Sparkie is feeling better too!!!

As for Sparkie .... she was looking for him when I came home alone last night and this morning when I woke up.
Then I said something to the kids about Daddy and she was running all over looking for him.

Bill get well quickly man! Linda, stay well yourself.

Many prayers sent for your family and Chrissie's!

I'm just really happy for you guys that everything will be OK with Billy. It just shows you, that life is so fragile from one moment to the next. It just seems so odd, since you posted early in the morning, and then when I looked here late in the day after taking a cruise and doing errands, I see what happened.
Best wishes for the whole family, and for a speedy recovery.

Chrissie, we've never met, but as part of the NE family, I'm wishing you a speedy recovery too, so that on the next event we can all hang out.
Linda, just a thought. Kidding or not, change your location with your avatar. " Hockey is life... the rest is details."
It should be Family is life.....

This came as such a shock because even though high BP has been an issue for the past few years, the DR's have been looking in all the wrong places for the reason because we do take such good care of our selves.
We never eat junk food - in fact, burger that he had at lunch on Sat was the 1st one he has had in 3 months. Most everything in low fat, low salt, low cholestoral. He had blood work done 2 weeks ago and everything was normal!
He doesn't smoke and drinks very little alcohol & coffee and is very active, so a clogged artery was low on the list of possibilties.
When this happened he was going to kidney specialist since a problem with the kidneys can cause high BP - he is supposed to go for a bunch of tests on Thrusday - guess I can cancel that.
When I spoke to the cardiologist and asked him why this happened he said that family history plays a big part - heart disease runs in both side of his family, so that artery was "misformed" and clogged easier than it should have - all the others are 100% clear.
Take care of yourselves out there -

The guys at work used to make fun of the way I ate. They would be pigging out on sloppy hero sandwiches, and I would be heating up the fish or chicken with vegetables that I brought from home.
I would run three to five miles most mornings before starting my day, haven’t had caffeinated coffee (or any other caffeinated beverage) in at least 15 years now, haven’t used a salt shaker since 1971, and am a very light social drinker.
Finding my problem was a fluke because I had no symptoms at all other than my total cholesterol was up around 205. Luckily, I’ve never had a problem with my blood pressure.
My Doctor feels that these problems are mostly hereditary. Living healthy can slow it down, and abusing yourself can speed it up, but if it’s in the cards you will get them.
The good news is that now he knows about it and will live a long healthy life. Once things settle down he will probably wind up having to take one low dose aspirin every day and something to help with his cholesterol (half the world takes statin drugs now).
The better news is that now your kids know what may be facing them and can take steps to avoid having the same problem.
My son is only 8 years old and he has already had a full work up by a pediatric cardiologist.
