For a 1st time show, I think it was pretty good. Some great vendors there. Except for the window and siding douche bag. He was so pushy.
Just walked by him with my son and he follows me. I didn't even look his way, but he insists "Let me ask you, if you were going to do any home remodeling, would it be..........."

Let me stop you right there Junior.

But I hear there may be an auction at next years show. And Saturday was a great day to cruise down to AC in the Vette with the top off.

People are missing the point....it's not about just the "cars" or the "vendors". It's about the people you meet, and seeing old friends. I had more fun at this show then many others I have been to in the past.

You can't please everybody. Pretty much everybody I spoke to enjoyed the show and positive comments about it.

We drove down from Carlisle Sat and stayed overnight at the Trop Havana Tower. Had a great time....weather was perfect! Walked the boardwalk and around town most of the day. Apparently a lot of us who are NJ-ites didn't know that there's a second, newer convention center that's not on the boardwalk. But no problem...it was only a 4-5 block walk.

The show was very nice for being a first timer. I too was kind of disappointed in the number of vendors. I understand from talking to some of the biggies over the past year (Mid-America, Ecklers, etc) that they don't come to some of these smaller events because of tax rules and laws. Don't know if that's true or not.

Had dinner at the Rainforest Cafe and then went to the Dion (no not that hag Celine Dion)...the original Dion (Runaround Sue Dion). For being almost 70 he still puts on a pretty good show even if he doesn't have the same voice he had 50 years ago.

It was a toss-up between going to AC and going to Pocono Raceway and succumb to my need for speed. Our corvette club went up this past weekend..we do this every April. A friend told me that one guy wiped out in an 06 and totalled it. Don't think his car insurance will cover that one.

Hooray for John, Jan and the others mentioned and unmentioned who use their time, talent and resources to give the kids at St. Jude a chance to win their battles against childhood cancer.
