Up North things should very pretty then. The backup should be Saturday, Oct 11th. Then use Oct .18 as a run thru Eastern Connecticut with a Willington Pizza stop. Remember leaves turn quicker up North. With my suggested dates we may get two nice 'leaves" runs. Backup for Oct. 18 could be Oct. 25. Any yeahs or naes?

The more trips the better. And Bullmarket I know will do a good job of planning.

can't do 3 Oct, will be with college chums from the 50's.

it won't rain 4 oct.

week-days is also a possibility. what's they worse that can happen if you take a day off from work.

it would be good to get everybody that wants to go.

we need to lock up a date that is most good. not sure how best to do that.

Congrats Marcel! We will try and be flexible for the foliage run but both a full Sat & Sunday on the same weekend 10/3 & 4 might be tough.

one of our favorite routes is 91N, get off in greenfield, do the rte 2 (Mohawk trail) to either 8 or 8a in the north adams area, into VT, then pick up 100 and go up thru the different ski resorts up to kilington, ride the gondola, have a couple of beers at the top, then criss cross Vt to woodstock, have dinner, criss cross SE to about Springfield VT, pick up 91S, and head home.

It's a full day ride. From my house which is just north of Mark's Cruise, it's a tank of gas and a good 12 hours. I get to drive hard sometimes, and cruise to keep my better half happy. The only issue is we've never found a decent place for lunch anywhere on 100 in VT.

Mohawk trail is a nice ride, but often has traffic, and not a place to push it.

Rt 100 is very rural, and you can really push if you want to. I've done the southern half with my son once to Stratton for a car show there. Think I used up half my front tires. We'll never forget that ride....

Just a thought for you guys....

We did the Mohawk trail last year, but started out west and came east. Ate at Chandlers restaurant at Yankee Candle, private parking and our own dining room......good times.

John good idea but I am afraid of what I would come back to and how I would fit it into the vette.

The better half and I are in.
I would agree we don't want to do it on Mystic weekend. Any other day
works for us.

I'm likely in for this one too, not picky when. There are some good places to eat in Bennington too. The Madison Brewery is good, but I'm not sure if they have more parking out back. (just another thought.) The Rt-2 run sounds like fun, I've done Rt-7 to Bennington then across rt-9 back to 91 several times too.

Jeff .....good of you to do the dates thing. It is important

Any date except 3 Oct is good for me.

To make your job easier I'll give you 2 dates. I suggest everyone that wants to go give you 2 dates.

10 Oct is probably the best date if you want to see leaves but no one picked that date....so I'll pick 17 and 18 Oct. I think you'll see twigs and a few stubborn leaves.
