Default foliage run....

I'd like us to get together for a 'look at the leaves' run, up north someplace, say second week in Oct.

If any of our group knows a good route to go, with a stop for a nice lunch, please step up and grab the handlebars. Thank you very much.

Oct. 4= Mystic Vettes in the Village
Oct. 11= Rain date.......
for some planning on attending, both dates will be left open so it may be hard to commit for leaf peeping til week after?

One idea is the Mohawk Trail in Mass RT 2. Nice cuving roads and foilage. I believe there are some places in North Adams we could eat at.

Leaves where we live is different than up north that's why earlier is better for up north. My guess is around 10 Oct would be best for up north. But what does the weather god know.

What do you suggest Steve ?

I agree on a nice ride up the trail but after Mystic.
I thought Mystic was a nice relaxed day and a nice ride.
Nice idea for steak at Mystic is a good idea See3er.
Third week good forYankee candle or eslewhere.
One week earlier is fine if weather is okay.
Also end of year run for pizza has to be in there also.

We will probably be going to Mystic if it's the 4th. The following weekend is a long weekend. One or both of us will be going to Delaware for that weekend. The weekends starting the 17-18 and after are open for us. We did the pizza / northeast CT winery run the first weekend in November last year.

This might be a better run for us, we're a ways away from the "masses" when it comes to these get-togethers. I wish we were closer, but only for these events. I'm busier than a one-armed paperhanger these days, and as such have ditched plans for a run out into N.Y. (Windham area...Hunter Mt. ) I'll try to make the Mohawk Trail event. Keep us posted. Dave

October is filling up fast. Expect to go to Mystic on the 4th weather permitting, and will be away 17/18 and 24/25.

Heading down to FL to see my brand new baby grand daughter born yesterday! First things first.

Congratulations Marcel

All, since we have to keep open the 4th and 11th for Mystic, why don't we make the run up North that Bullmarket has graciously "volunteered" to do on Saturday, Oct. 3rd weather permitting. Up North things should very pretty then. The backup should be Saturday, Oct 11th. Then use Oct .18 as a run thru Eastern Connecticut with a Willington Pizza stop. Remember leaves turn quicker up North. With my suggested dates we may get two nice 'leaves" runs. Backup for Oct. 18 could be Oct. 25. Any yeahs or naes?
