It's a funny thing Deb, but if we look around, there is always someone who has a problem worse than ours. Yeah it sucks that we have to deal with certain things, but look at the blessing you have been given from this ordeal.There are so many people here who are pulling for you. 
Some folks have never even met you, yet, they are still praying for you.That's pretty powerful, uplifting stuff. Take each of these small blessings, and draw on them when you need them to get you through. Some people live a whole life, and never experience the feelings expressed here for you. Take all this in, and let it wash all over you, and feel it's power. We're not going to let this bring you down. We're all here for you.

Well, there is a clinical study going on that I fit the criteria for. It involves infusions again every three weeks at Sloan in Manhattan.
Seattle Genetics has developed an anti body drug conjugate. It has two parts, one part targets cancer cells, which is the anti body. The second part is the chemotherapy agent. Antibodies are proteins that are part of the immune system.....they can stick to and attack specific molecules on cells. In my case, they will target the cancerous T-cells and more specifically, the CD-30 molecule that is causing the issue. Once it attaches to the cell, it will destroy the out of control molecule.
believe its in a phase 2 or phase 3 study.

We're all here for you.Debbie, I have been following Seattle Genetics for quite a few years, and they are accomplishing some very good things. There trials have gone very well and they are hoping for fast track approvals from the FDA. I wish you the best, and keep on fighting. My sister also had lymphoma but unfortunately it was well before Seattle Genetics achieved their current progress. You can beat this .

That's good to hear Charlie - I checked with Don Benson also and he had the same good things to say about Seattle Genetics - this is one of the trials that was granted "fast track" - they are hoping to have it approved for hodgkins disease this year and ready for marketing in 2012. It seems to be inconclusive on what I have (although very promising) because there aren't many people that have ALCL-ALK neg to enroll in the study. Beating this would be a dream come true! Thank you so much for the positive input!

Just a quick update......the new clinical trial starts Monday 8am. Can't come soon enough for me. All my hopes are riding on this one. I will let you know how it goes.
