Is winter over yet?
Having serious Z06 withdrawals. The weather the last 15 days in NJ has been brutal, I don't think I have seen above 30* on the thermometer in 2 weeks!!!

Melting Slicks
As much as I miss my car in the winter, it's like getting a new car every spring because it's been covered up in the garage all season!. It's been a brutal NJ winter so far. Warmer next week though. I'm not into the salt and brine on the roads either. No Vette until that stuff is gone.

I spent a week at my home in upstate NY, saw 5 days of -20 or below, came back to HV and it was like a summer vacation, now if someone could make a car that runs on road salt they would be wealthy.

There's rain for friday and saturday which should wash mostly all the salt away.
I'm taking my car out sunday. Even if it's cold. I don't care anymore. I can't wait for spring.

65 today and snow all melted. Tomorrow AM if rain stops and roads aren't soaked before the massive temperature drop, I may take her out for an hour.
Says low 30s and partly cloudy... car's been in garage - would tires be ok on a C7 Z06 with temps in the 33 degree range?

Watch those potholes, the last week I have hit a ton of them in my truck. They seem to get worse and worse every year

Took the Z out around noon today lol
It sucked because first the parking brake was frozen on, even though the computer registered the parking brake off. The car wouldn't even move out of the driveway until i basically had to clutch drop it lol. So that sucked.
Then the tires took forever to get warm so the front tires were skipping like crazy the first couple of slow turns.
Then i kept spinning tires, even as low as 1800rpm trying to accelerate because it was too cold out. I was too scared to go beyond 3k rpm. So i was literally driving like grandma for the first 45 minutes. And i only got on it a little bit towards the little highway stretch home. And that felt good
So to answer the question about our tires not doing too well in cold temps.
No it's not good at all. Very scary. Even with all the nannies on and driving like grandma, the tires still wanna spin.

Looks like another round of snow tonight into tomorrow lol
I'm starting to get that IDGAF attitude and just drive the car whenever i can, even if there's salt.
Because i always try to preserve my toys but within a couple of years i trade them in for something new anyway lol
